About the Park
Fontainebleau State Park is located southeast of Mandeville on US 190. The park encompasses 2,800 acres on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain.

Camping, a nature trail, group camps, a lodge, swimming, a playground, fishing and the ruins of a plantation sugar mill are a few of the reasons why visitors return to Fontainebleau year after year.

From New Orleans.

1. Take I-10 West
2. Take the ramp on the left to N. Causeway Blvd.
3. Keep Right at the fork to continue toward N. Causeway Blvd. and merge onto N. Causeway Blvd.
4. Continue onto Lake Pontchartrain Causeway
5. Continue onto N. Causeway Blvd.
6. Slight right toward East Causeway Approach (sings for US-190 E / LA-1087 / Monroe St.)
7. Continue straight onto East Causeway Approach
8. Slight right onto Florida St. / US-190 E / Continue to follow US-190E
9. Turn right at Group Camp Road / LA-1089
10. Fontainebleau State Park will be on the right


From Slidell.

1. Take I-12 West toward Mandeville/Covington
2. Take Exit 65 the Abita Springs/Mandeville exit
3. Turn left onto LA-59 toward Mandeville
4. Turn left onto Florida St.
5. Turn right at Group Camp Road / LA-1089
6. Fontainebleau State Park will be on the right




From Baton Rouge/Hammond.

1. Take I-10 East
2. Slight left at I-12 East (signs for I-12 East / Hammond)
3. Take Exit 65 the Abita Springs/Mandeville exit
4. Turn right onto LA-59 toward Mandeville
5. Turn left onto Florida St.
6. Turn right at Group Camp Road / LA-1089
